WHAT YOU LL DO
The Marketing Trainee will work closely with Global Industrial Goods (IG) Practice Area Marketing team and report to the IG Marketing Director. The IG Marketing team drives all core marketing & communication domains, including editorial strategy and content development, branding and positioning, seat-at-the-table and event execution, amplification of key priority topics and experts across external and internal channels. The team is looking for a resourceful and motivated individual to join the team and with guidance and mentoring from senior colleagues, support several key marketing initiatives:
Drive the coordination of the PA s social media activities. For example, you will curate content, create drafts and post on IG s LinkedIn showcase page to promote our thought leadership, event presence and marketing assets. And amplify these posts via the employee advocacy tools.
Monitor, analyze and increase performance, including number of followers, of IG s LinkedIn showcase page. You will be responsible for ensuring best practices, latest innovations and recommendations are incorporated by working with other PAs and global teams.
Support Employee Advocacy program for IG:
You will support the team by helping onboard leaders to the program, run training sessions, work on profile optimization, and provide overviews of social tools.
You will own the social content weekly newsletters: drafting social media pieces, editing graphic assets, publishing on our employee advocacy channel and sharing with the program participants.
In addition, you will be conducting performance analysis to optimize our program and content practices.
Support internal communications for marketing announcements.
Support seat-at-the-table events by screening competitor activities, doing ad hoc research of selected conferences and events, and supporting the invitations process for IG events.
Support events and marketing performance reviews by analyzing and tracking KPIs such as social media analytics and press clippings.
The candidate will have the opportunity to learn how BCG markets their IP and serves their clients while gaining work experience in a highly professional and demanding environment.
YOU RE GOOD AT
Monitoring and analyzing social media performance
Creating content (variety of formats) for social channels such as LinkedIn
Developing toolkits and trainings for employee influencers
Self-starting with a strong work ethic, service mentality and ability to work in a multinational team
Operating effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks towards deadlines
Well-structured analytical thinking and attention to detail
Working within a team, collaboration, and being transparent
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Extensive knowledge of the social media landscape and content marketing trends
Studies focusing on marketing, communications, journalism or media
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including fluent English language skills
Writing experience ideally with blog posts, social media, short articles or press releases
Good knowledge of tools such as Slack, Trello and MS Office tools: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
YOU LL WORK WITH
The Marketing Trainee will work closely with the IG Marketing Team, Global Marketing Leader, the Global Practice Management Director (GPMD), Sector managers and others in the PA. You will also often work directly with IG author teams, experts and leadership.
