The SSC DevOps engineering role requires compressive technical, process, and people skills to educate technical and management teams to help drive new solutions to current processes and solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Collaborate with a diverse group of global infrastructure engineering/operations, security, and application/database teams on designing new processes, workflows, and solutions to automate infrastructure delivery better and provide faster time to market for applications.

Design and implement new processes for automated deployments of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure and microservices.

Establish a center of excellence for DevOps by creating education plans, coordinating internal and external lead training efforts, and creating standards and practices.

Contribute to process improvements across teams.

Performs Administration and Operational related work as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Requires well-rounded prior experience and education involving programming, scripting, and automation.

CI/CD pipeline administration and management.

Scripting knowledge such as ansible, bicep, terraform, and ARM.

Must be knowledgeable of Linux/UNIX and Microsoft operating systems.

Extensive prior experience with Microsoft Azure.

Experience preferred with Public Cloud platforms other than Microsoft Azure.

Preferred experience with Azure Portal, Azure DevOps, PowerApps, Azure functions, scripted deployments, and ARM templates.

Experience with Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes, and Anthos.

Project Management Skills/Certifications desired.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Flexdeploy, BitBucket, and Jenkins preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with very technical teams, management, and business customers.

Provides informal guidance to junior staff.

Works independently; receives minimal guidance.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Experience / Education

Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a 4-year degree, or 6 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
