General Information
Joining the Global Design to Value team, you will have a direct opportunity to influence the portfolio of Distribution, Dry, and Traction transformers within the Hitachi Energy product family.
You will be a part of a methodology that strongly focuses on cross-collaboration through idea generation, leading to product margin enhancements. Utilizing your engineering/process domain skills, you will lead and support analysis targeting the complete value chain of the products.
Coordinating the DtV activities in factories, facilitating idea generation workshops, and supporting idea implementation and knowledge cross-sharing within the Global Product Group.

Your responsibilities
Lead the reverse engineering and benchmarking activities within Design to Value deployment. Manage and improve the process. Coordinate activities with designated locations. Manage and improve the process.
Lead the DFMA activities. Provide training on DFA and DFM concepts. Conduct complex analysis to provide suggestions for improvements.
Support and lead the analysis related to improvements in operations and manufacturing processes.
Organize and facilitate cross-functional Workshops (on-site and remotely) within the domain of expertise.
Performs product and process cost analysis with a thorough understanding of cost-contributing factors.
Gather, analyze, and interpret product cost and technical data.
Utilization of all idea management tools within DtV Methodology.
Coordinate activities and support the site in Workshop and idea implementation stages.

Your background
Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Higher formal education will be meriting. Trained/certified in Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
5 + years of experience in quality, manufacturing, product design, or related areas is required. Previous Manufacturing Process experience is a plus.
Good command of English allowing free communication in an international environment.
Must be a team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Strong coaching skills to provide training and development for the organization.
Working knowledge of new product introduction, manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability, and design for assembly -- principles of DFMA are highly desired.
Demonstrated commitment to product and process improvement.
Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization. Demonstrated ability to motivate others and achieve results.
